Whirlpool JT359 Reviews

I have only had mine for short time still trying out different things to cook.
Cooked cake great less time than normal oven.
 Melted cheese good.
Need to experiment with other things though wish it had recipe book for times etc.
I think you just need to cook in there for less time than a oven.

Husqvarna Emerald 116, 118, 122 Reviews

I have 4 Husqvarna machines used daily 2x Emerald 116 and 1 x Saphire 835 and their overlocker. I think they are truly wonderful machines and excellent value. The 116 is basic and one of the cheapest in its range. Name me another basic make that comes with a hard cover. Extremely simple to use, beautifully compact with a full range of feet etc.

Haier HWMP95TL Reviews

Had to replace my fisher and pykel 5.5kg. Died after thre and a half years. Wanted to get a bigger machine due to the fact we are about to start a family, but worried about forking out heaps of dough for a 8kg+ washer.

Very happy to find a 9.5kg washer for less than a grand! Actually, for the price (got it on special for $599) this machine is pretty good. We did get the five year extended warrantee though (just in case). Had never heard of the brand before. Always a bit

HTC Snap Reviews

HTC SNAP is an average phone with QWERTY keyboard. It provides great value for money for the features and designs and full connectivity options. However, there is not much to it apart from making phone calls, texting, emails, and average software. If you are considering to buy this phone, I suggest you reconsider and look at other smart phones in the market today as there are many more options for what you'd pay for than the HTC snap.

HTC Rhyme Reviews

I got an HTC Rhyme and found that it constantly defaulted to the wrong internet provider setting meaning that I had to re-set it if I wanted to do anything on-line. No-one could explain why so it was sent off for repairs. Meanwhile I received a large bill for usage that couldn't be explained. A month after sending the phone off it was finally returned but now I was unable to configure my email account, the experts at the shop had no success either and concluded the device was still faulty.

Nokia E52 Images

Pros: Excellent smart phone. Typical Nokia build quality. Very long battery life and excellent reception in remote areas.
Cons: Needs to be turned off regularly.
Overall: Cool looking phone with lots of features. Very light. Camera takes top quality pictures. Took it on a road trip and did not have to charge it for four days with heavy usage.

Nokia E71 Images

Pros: Full-featured, Qwerty keyboard, free GPS
Cons: A lot slower than older Nokia phones, camera is not very good, complicated menu organisation, a bit heavy in your pocket, screen is bright at night
Overall: This is a handly little full-featured phone. It does just about everything a user would want in a phone.

However, people who use their phones as personal computer for web browsing and other non-phone-related tasks may prefer other phones.

I upgraded to this from a much older Nokia 5140i. The older phone was actually significantly faster than this one! In this one, doing just about action on the phone takes about a second or more. This is a nuisance when you want to do something quickly.

The camera is also not very good. The quality is poor when you zoom in; it might use digital zoom, so I think it would be better if you couldn't zoom at all or at least if it didn't save the photo with the horrible digital zooming applied. Turning off the flash doesn't work; it still happens anyway. The auto focus often doesn't work, and you can't manually focus.

Like with other Nokia phones, the menu structure is complicated and it can take a while to find what you're looking for in it.

The phone is also a bit heavy in your pocket, which can be annoying.

If you use the phone at night-time, the screen is quite bright, even on the lowest brightness setting. This might not be a problem for some people, but if you want to use it at night and also want to take care of your eyes, it can be a possible problem.

The phone also includes the free Nokia Maps. This is a great feature; having a free GPS on-hand can be really useful. The phone is quite slow to figure out your location when compared with a normal GPS, but it still works fine. This functionality adds a lot of value, since GPSs can be a bit expensive, and other phones typically require a subscription for GPS services.

DéLonghi EN95R / EN95S Nespresso Essenza Reviews

Overall: This is a great product but I struggled with the price, waste and availability of the Nespresso capsules. The capsules can only be purchased online or from a couple of stores. I purchased Coffeeduck reusable capsules and for an extra 30 seconds of preparation time you can use your own coffee and stop consigning aluminium capsules to the bin. Coffee is great using either method.

DéLonghi Primadonna S Deluxe Images

Overall: Set up was easy, I have the esam6600 model as well in the alfresco, but wanted something more compact for the kitchen. This model fits perfectly. Have read some complaints about coffee not being hot enough. I set the temp to high and coffee is certainly hot enough, no complants here.
I also have a Nesptesso delonghi citiz in the bedroom which is also good, but the pods are so expensive. I worked it out over a period of 12 months at 4 coffees a day using the prima donna with beans against the Nespresso I will save over 1k a year, so over 3 years the savings on coffee against the pods pays for the machine.

DéLonghi ECO310 Reviews

Overall: This coffee machine has changed the way to see coffee. I've been able to try and enjoy numerous different types of coffee without fearing that I've made it too strong or too weak. After about my third try I was making some amazing coffee's that I usually wouldn't have enjoyed without it. It is hundreds of times nicer than plunger or any coffee through a drip filter. Honestly I don't know the science behind it but this thing sure adds convenience. Thanks for this awesome piece of technology that I'll impress my friends with later.

DéLonghi ECAM23450S Reviews

Overall: I purchased this based on the Choice ratings and reviews here. I am very pleased with the decision.
We only have used it for latte's and cappuccinos so far - am yet to learn how to froth the milk to make a hot chocolate (not even sure if this is possible) - or teach myself how to increase the cup size to mug or 2 mugs at a time. But I think the programming is possible? The only drawback i can see is the tray on top does not warm the cups & it is a little loud in the morning when it's automatically turning on according to our programming.
It does make a significant difference in taste with the temperature and beans you use. We've tried hot temp and Vittorio and Gloria Jeans beans & have adjusted to standard temp and Gloria's beans (we don't usually like Gloria Jeans coffee).
Would like to see some videos on their website or YouTube of how to make different coffees of different sizes, strengths etc. with this particular model.

DéLonghi ESAM5450 Reviews

Overall: I have had my machine for 4 months and absolutely love it - really simple to use and does everything you need in a coffee machine! It can use whole beans or ground beans one touch buttons for pretty much everything a real breeze to use. Would highly recommend this machine to people.

DéLonghi EN90MPACK / EN90OPACK / EN90MPLUS / EN90FPACK / EN90GYPLUS Reviews

Overall: We take this little machine in our baggage on holidays, so that no matter how things go we can always wake up to a good cup of coffee. It came with a cappuccino maker, but my wife only used that a couple of times. We are heavy drinkers - reorder 200 capsules home delivered from Nescafe every 6 weeks which is expensive but worth it given you don't have to go to a cafe. There are a variety of flavors distinguished by the color of the capsule, most of which taste the same to me, and we tend to go hot and cold on particular colors, except that I dislike yellow. Black, green, purple, dark gold, and grey are the best. Coffee to me is comparable to what you would buy over the counter in most cafes, although the second cup always tastes better, perhaps because the machine has warmed up. Probably one of the last things we would be prepared to give up.

Sunbeam Artista Reviews

Overall: This is the first espresso machine we have bought and it is fantastic. Very easy to use. The first time I have ever used one or made myself a coffee, I simply followed the steps in the instruction book and was enjoying a delicious coffee within minutes. Quick and easy to use, the only thing I noticed is it is quite loud, especially when I was frothing the milk however I probably just need practice! Very pleased with purchase.

Blanco DWF5X Reviews

Overall: Overall: Fortunately Harvey Norman have been wonderful as this machine has a very useless filtration system if you even call it that. We have a large family so this machine kept cloggling up with debris even though I scraped and rinsed dishes as you would normally. So I exercised my consumer rights and complained to f&p and hn and I now have a lovely new blanco dwf5x which is better by miles. So I guess my story is u don't have to put up with a dodgy machine. Better still just stay clear of these machines. You may as well wash the dishes by hand because you will do a better job.
It also turns on or off too easily if you lean against it which is a bit annoying.
Return it if you are unhappy with its poor quality. Get your salesman to sort it out, mine was very helpful. I had minefor 6 months and thought i had to just put up with it. But don't. Very happy with my new Blanco. The difference is like chalk and cheese. Honestly don't buy the f&p it's not worth it. I'm a mum of four so I NEED a good dishwasher. This is NOT a good washer. But overall very happy with outcome. Did I mention the Blanco? It's fantastic. (see my other review) I hope this helps other mums out there. Cheers :)

Smeg DWA157 Series Reviews

Overall: I bought Smeg DWA157X from Harvey Norman for my first dishwasher. after research and reading all the reviews from this website, decided to buy a Bosch dishwasher, but the saleperson from Harvey Norman strongly recommend DWA157X, and said there is 30day money back warranty if not happy with it. so I thought I could have a try. just used 4 times so far because new kitchen has been under renovation, could not use for two weeks. tried different program with different dishes, pots and plastic container. not very happy with it. it is not very quiet though not very noisy. Used Rapid 27 minutes program, came out wet with a few rice still on two bowls; used auto 60-70 degree for 1 hour 50 minutes, clean but with wet plastic containers; used Eco for 100 minutes, came out with one dirt dish and one oly dirty container, really unhappy with this wash, pushing me to return it. Because it is still in 30 day warranty, would like give it a few trials to see other programs.

Bosch PPH626B90A / PPQ726B90A Reviews

Pros: Looks great, very easy to clean and wont dint easily like the stainless steel versions.
Cons: Nothing apart from the price!!! A Touch expensive but worth it!
Overall: We chose the glass cook top over the stainless steel mainly because of the look of it. We wanted to get all our appliances for our new kitchen Bosch because of problems we have had with cheaper brands such as whirlpool. Certainly not the cheapest cook top on the market but it is a breeze to clean, looks great and works every time you turn it on!

Domain GAS60-STD Reviews

Pros: I have the one with the cast iron trivets. It looks great for a very good price. Very easy to clean, not fiddly. All the burners will work at the same time.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Overall: I've been very happy with my new cooktop with its looks, performance and price. Have only had it for about 5 weeks but it still looks like new. The company is good to deal with. I also bought their top model oven.

Apple iPhone 4 Reviews

iPhone 4. In so many ways, it's a first.
While everyone else was busy trying to keep up with iPhone, we were busy creating amazing new features that make iPhone more powerful, easier to use and more indispensable than ever. The result is iPhone 4. The biggest thing to happen to iPhone since iPhone.

Features:
FaceTime. People have been dreaming about video calling for decades. iPhone 4 makes it a reality. With just a tap, you can wave hello to your kids, share a smile from across the globe or watch your best friend laugh at your stories — iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 over Wi-Fi. No other phone makes staying in touch this much fun.
Retina Display. The Retina display on iPhone 4 is the sharpest, most vibrant, highest-resolution phone screen ever, with four times the pixel count of previous iPhone models. In fact, the pixel density is so high that the human eye is unable to distinguish individual pixels. Which makes text amazingly crisp and images stunningly sharp.
Multitasking. iPhone 4 introduces a whole new way of multitasking. Now you can run your favourite third-party apps — and switch between them instantly — without slowing down the performance of the foreground app or draining the battery unnecessarily.1 This smarter approach to multitasking is available only on iPhone.
HD Video Recording and Editing. Shoot your own movies in high definition. Capture impressive video even in low-light settings, thanks to the advanced backside illumination sensor and built-in LED light. Then edit and create your own mini-masterpiece right on iPhone 4 using the new iMovie app — with Apple-designed themes, titles and transitions. It's coming soon to the App Store.
5-Megapixel Camera with LED Flash. Take beautiful, detailed photos with the new 5-megapixel camera with built-in LED flash. The advanced backside illumination sensor captures great pictures even in low light. And the new front-facing camera makes it easy to take self-portraits

Introducing Siri. The intelligent assistant that's there to help. Just Ask.

Now you can use your voice to use your iPhone. Just talk to Siri as you would to a person: "Remind me to call mum when I get home" or "Do I need an umbrella?" Siri not only understands what you say, it knows what you mean.1 It figures out the right apps to use to find the right answer. Then, just like a personal assistant, it answers you. Siri makes phone calls, sends messages, schedules meetings, sets reminders and more. How much more? Just ask, and Siri tells you that too.

Two cores in the A5 chip deliver up to two times more power and up to seven times faster graphics.2 And you'll feel the effects. Fast. iPhone 4S is quick and responsive, which makes all the difference when you're launching apps, browsing the web, gaming and doing just about everything. And no matter what you're doing, you can keep on doing it. Because the A5 chip is so power-efficient, iPhone 4S has an outstanding battery life.

Phil & Teds Dash Reviews

Pros: The kids don't seem to mind sitting in it. It looks fairly smart.
Cons: I absolutely hate this pram. The maneuverability is terrible and you need 2 hands on the handle at all times - impossible to drink a coffee and push at the same time. Even with 2 hands the front wheel goes every whivh way but straight. With a newborn you have to have it configured with the newborn flat in the main seat and the toddler in front in the toddler seat and in that configuration you can't access the basket without ramming your newborn upwards into the back of the toddler seat above and you can't hang your bag off the handle or it whacks the baby in the head. There's no pockets anywhere on the pram. All this means you have to either carry all your gear on your shoulder or shove it in the basket where you can't get at it. I also hate the fact that the brake is in the handle - makes it even more difficult to hang your bag from it without giving your child a brain injury and also means you can't attach a cup holder to shove your coffee so that you can wrangle this beast with both hands.
Overall: I've had this pram for 2 months and can't wait to get rid of it. As far as doubles go you can fo a lot better.

Phil & Teds Hammerhead Reviews

Pros: Stability and good steering
Cons: The air filled tyres are outdated.
Overall: We tried every double pram before buying the Hammerhead - we put 2 toddlers in about 20 different prams and the Hammerhead was definitely the winner in terms of stability and steering! I love the capsule attachment and I think the quick unfold is great too! We've replaced a few tyres - wish they'd bring out ones that don't puncture! But we found cheaper replacement tubes at a bike shop and stocked up.

Phil & Teds Smart and Peanut Reviews

Pros: Great price, multifunctional, lightweight, can be travel system, attractive design
Cons: No suspension at all
Overall: We bought this pram for our second baby because it was lightweight, came with a bassinet and allowed adaptation with the SnS Unity capsule. It was fantastic around town as a travel system with the capsule and adapter. It made car trips and outings a breeze with a new baby! The bassinet was brilliant too and we used it as a bed for our baby for 6.5 months while we travelled around Europe and Australia (she mainly co-slept at night though). The only drawback for this pram is the lack of suspension; it is hideous for a young baby's head and neck on anything but smooth pavement or indoors. So mostly we used our Ergo carrier when out and about. When commuting by train/plane/boat or by foot it easily coped with my petite four year-old in the seat and a very overloaded shopping basket. It survived perfectly well!
Now we're home we're back to using a Maclaren umbrella stroller, but couldn't have done without the Smart and Peanut for our travels.

Phil & Teds Smart Reviews

Pros: It looks great, the easy-wipe seat, nice steering feel and it's light/compact when folded.
Cons: I expected better for $300, the sunshade isn't practical once your kid figures it out, BRAKE FAILURE is more common than I'd like!
Overall: I purchased the Smart because I wanted something small & zippy to take in the supermarket etc, so I didn't have to use my other larger pram for small trips (we have a Steelcraft Strider 4 that I love, but it's huge). This looked like it would fit that criteria, and it's a great looking stroller, but after owning it for a month we found the Smart wasn't all it seemed.
The mesh basket is fairly pointless, as if you put anything heavier than a wallet in there it drops quite low.. if I put a small bag of groceries in there it touches the ground, but the pram's so light that I can't hang anything off the handles either or it tips back. It's just really awkward if you have to carry anything like a handbag/nappy bag/groceries. The sunshade is a good idea in theory (it isn't fixed, and can swing to follow the sun) but it doesn't have a lock position so my 11 month old treats it like a toy... drives me crazy.
I purchased the Verso Adaptors ($40 AUD) so that I could have my daughter face me and recline. The downside is that if you want the reverse option you have to take the Verso adaptors with you everywhere, and it's annoying to have to cart them about (they're not small) just so bub has the option to recline an extra 2 inches. I was told you can't attach the P&T cup holder to this stroller, and to have a padded insert (or "Cushy Ride") costs an additional $38+. Even though it's tagged as an "extra", you really do need it or bub is sitting on hard moulded plastic.
On the plus side it's attractive (but that doesn't count for much), light and compact, and it seems confortable.
 For a $300 stroller - I expected better.
Oh, and to top it off, the breaks failed 6 weeks in. After some internet research I found out it's a fairly common problem (!!) I'll be asking for a refund, not a repair.

Sony Ericsson Xperia neo Reviews

Pros: Good size screen. Good battery life. Ergonomic design. Excellent sound reproduction.
Cons: Screen reflects in bright light.
Overall: Sony uses the Android operating system that for an Apple user such as myself, is an alien world. Why did an Apple user not get an iPhone that would gel seamlessly into their current electronic environment I hear you ask? Well, I'll assume you asked, I have been a Telstra fixed line customer for nearly thirty years and unlike the majority of the Australian population, I'm in the 2% that've never had any quarrels with them (my experience is that in the main, it's not Telstra). So given this fascinating insight I marched into my local Telstra shop and declared to all, 'Do me a deal!' After the staff held an impromptu meeting so as to discuss as to whether they should call the police or put the hose on me, one young lady ventured forth to serve me. For the princely sum of $59 per month I was to receive $550 worth of calls, unlimited SMS, 1.5GB of data and a Sony Ericsson Neo.
First impressions are that it is bulky, being particularly thick through the body. For me personally, I did not find this a detraction. Out of the box you get all the standard bits and pieces, charger, instruction manual, battery etc. Inserting the battery and getting the phone up and running is not overly challenging, unless of course you're from the 70s and found that programming a VCR was the basis for a Ph.D. The initial charge time was about 2 hours. The charging is not via a normal jack, but by utilizing a micro USB which is fiddly, especially in low light situations (note to Sony: this idea sucks). Charging can be via computer or a wall socket using a neat bit of kit provided. If you turn off the Bluetooth, 3G and the WiFi a full charge can last 36 hours plus. If you want just the phone aspect of this product it's okay. Turning off these functions doesn't impede the sending or receiving of calls and messages.
I utilize most of the functions that a phone like this can offer (excluding Facebook and any other banal social media, having said this the good people at Sony do see their intended market as finding these websites desirable and provide options to integrate with these, such as with the media player) including the top notch camera. The Neo camera has a nice little piece of software called a Bravia engine. This enhances picture and video quality taken with the camera. To view content in all its glory obtain a micro HDMI cable (eBay, Dick Smith) and watch it on a full size TV. It ain't hard.
The various function screens can be navigated via touch and there are some very interesting and useful apps that can be downloaded from the Android market (before you download anything do some research). There are a range of shortcuts, such as reverting the ring to vibrant or silent, through which the orientation of the phone can be done quickly. The key to this is to read the instruction manual which for purposes of convenience is stored in the phone and can be found on the second screen to the right of the home screen. Just touch the 'experience more' option.
Connecting via the USB, downloading something from iTunes or a podcast from a particular site can be a bit tricky but by utilizing a third party app transferring is quick and easy. Research this on the internet. Finding stored or recorded data can sometimes be frustrating but with a bit of practice this can also be mastered. Research this on the internet. If you have an older car such as I, pop down to your local gadget store and invest in a plug-in Bluetooth kit. They're between $30 and $100. By doing this you can hook the phone to run through your in-car sound system. This is really convenient because if a phone call comes in, by utilising this option you avoid upsetting the local gendarmerie, (well I care about concentrating on the road, and yes it is quite possible I'm the only person in Adelaide who does). The added bonus is that you can also play Mp3 and music saved to the player through your car stereo (or in my case the car mono. It's an old car). If you're like me and reside in beautiful Adelaide and want to avoid suicidal tendencies brought on by the world's most backward radio stations, I urge you to consider this small outlay.
A couple of other things to watch out for are the on/off button which is just plain awkward to use and the volume switch which is easy to accidentally activate and could reduce the sound level of the ringer to zero and a cause for not hearing calls or SMSs. Both these function buttons are located on the right-hand side of the phone and are therefore easy to trip unintentionally.
The pluses are the screen is just the right size for reading and the size doesn't reflect the footprint it leaves. It's not uncomfortable to pocket and does not dig into a bloke's leg, or for that matter a ladies hose when they sit down for a pint (I tend to only socialize with beer quaffing ladies, it's cheaper).
The Sony Ericsson Neo is certainly not the most aesthetically pleasing phone nor is it the trendiest on the market but it shortcomings are forgivable if you can get it for the right price and that price is as an inclusion on a plan.

Breville BIC200 ikon Reviews

Pros: excellent cooker
Cons: Bad manufacturing
Overall: Happy with the cooking part of it but the manufacturing not so good, have already had 1 replacement and about to get another one for the same problem the plate comes apart and lifts and buckles, not happy about this and Breville don't seem to be too concerned as they only offer 12months warranty and that includes any replacements

Bosch HBA63B450A / HBA63B550A Reviews

Pros: Reliable. Good value for money.
Cons: Slightly hotter at the rear of the oven, so you need to rotate cakes and muffins during cooking. Not a big deal.
Overall: Cooks wonderfully. Roasts, cakes, biscuits, pies, grilled meat all turn out perfect. The wire rack is wide enough for 2 muffin pans. It comes with a roasting dish, baking dish and grill and 2 racks. All of which work well. I haven't used the pyrolytic function yet, but for the first time i'm looking forward to cleaning my oven. The triple glazed door is so safe for little hands - I'm glad we didn't pay extra for the 'cool touch' door, as it is unnecessary (but as I say, we haven't used the pyrolytic function yet).

Robomaid RM-770 Automatic Robot Reviews

Pros: Frees me up to do other things
Cons: Instruction booklet could be written better, but I haven't watched the DVD yet :/
Overall: Love the robomaid, I have a large tiled living area. The robomaid is perfect, picks up a dust, hair, grit, crumbs etc. While she is doing her bit I'm free to do other things. Robomaid works well on the surface dirt and fluff on carpet area, but I still use my Dyson for a deeper clean once a week. It is probably quicker to use a regular vacuum cleaner for he same area, but if I have to spend an hour catching up on my ironing the robomaid can be doing the vacuuming. Happy with my purchase. I just put her on recharger after 10pm to take advantage of offpeak power. Instruction booklet could be more simply written for setting up auto functions.

Fisher & Paykel Double Series Reviews

Pros: Easy to stack & unload.
Cons: Hard to clean the drains - but I find that with all dishwashers.
Overall: We purchased this house with a 2 drawer dishwasher brand new & had a miele that we had from renting. After giving the F&P a go we decided to stay with it & sell the miele. Very happy with the decision - two drawer provides so much flexibility & easier to load / unstack even if they are running together. I also think it provides a better clean too.

LG WD12570FD / WD12576FD Reviews

Pros: Large Capacity, Time Delay so I can have a clean, dry load ready for me in the morning, Easy to Operate, Feels solidly built
Cons: Top of machine gets very hot at the end of a cycle (I do cold washes!). It uses constant bursts of water (to wash and to steam dry) so I've had to disconnect it from the tank water for fear of blowing up the tank's pump. Long pants and long sleeves have accordion folds in them when I wash and dry in the machine.
Overall: It has a huge capacity (I like to be able to wash my queen bed sheets with mattress protector, pillow cases and protectors and a cotton blanket all in one load) I can fit them all easily in this machine. It's really quiet, washes really well, and when it finishes it plays a tune instead of beeping incessantly like my old machine! It's a good idea to get your dry clothes out straight away before the creases set in. Also, a thirsty load (eg towels) can still feel quite damp when they've "finished" drying, so I usually hang them up for a bit to dry completely.

Merol ME-710 Reviews

Pros: Reliable for sure, good value for money, easy to use
Overall: I now have 2 of these machines. One for home and one for my business. The first one had stainless steel cup warmer and drip tray cover. the second one is all plastic. Otherwise they are identical. The machine makes an adequate coffee, certainly NOT cafe quality, or the equivalent of a quality expresso machine. But, I love it because it is so simple, I can even get my 10 year old to bring me a coffee. It makes an acceptable coffee when using good beans. The only slight annoyance is that I have to cycle the froth/hot milk through the nozzle back into the jug until hot, then redirect the nozzle into my cup once fully frothed and heated.
